"Was blown away by how tasty the food was. This was my third time having a tasting menu and it was the best one so far. The restaurant has a nice cosy feel and the service is very attentive, with very kind staff. The attention to detail was spot on and the main course (the cod) had a bigger portion than I expected and was the best part of the meal. Thank you to all the staff and the chefs for making this experience so special!"

"Michelin level food, service and wine! Super intimate atmosphere with gorgeous minimalist layout. The duck was a highlight, but the entire lunch set menu was divine. Will definitely be back."

"From the moment you step inside, the warmth of the staff and the subtle scent of local beer and whisky set the tone for an evening that feels both intimate and memorable. The front-of-house team balances professionalism with genuine Scottish hospitality — attentive without pretence, engaging without intrusion. Loved sitting at The Pass and witnessing the chef handle and prepare the highest quality ingredients with care. Music was spot on too. Thank you LC Highly recommend!"

"We went to the restaurant today for the three course menu. I had two oyesters as a snack, the sauces on top paired beautifully and really enhanced the freshness of the oysters. For the main course, the confit duck leg was even better than any I’ve had in Paris. It was cooked perfectly, with tender meat and slightly crispy skin. We also tried the cod with red wine sauce and mashed potatoes. The sauce was rich and flavorful, a great match for the cod, and the mashed potatoes were buttery and smooth. For dessert, the rice pudding brûlée was absolutely delicious. We loved how the ginger and rhubarb added to the creaminess and sweetness. Everything was fabulous and incredibly tasty. The customer service was outstanding as well 10 out of 10!"

"Had a wonderful meal at Eleanore last night. Enjoyed the tasting menu (plus oysters) as well as the wine pairing. It’s definitely not cheap, but it was lovely service, high quality, and filling while not feeling stuffed. I sat at the bar where I watched many of the courses be prepped, which was fun to watch as well. Highlights were the tortellini in brodo as well as the “tiramisu” dessert. The wine pairing was absolutely lovely, and they were not stingy about top offs between courses. Highly recommend and would go back."

"We had a 7-course set tasting menu of small dishes. All really good and out of the ordinary without overdoing it. Very small restaurant, about 20 persons maximum, so very personal service by 2 kitchen and 2 waiting staff. Quite expensive, but not strange considering high-end food and service. Recommended, making reservations in advance."

"Elenaore is a hidden gem offering an unforgettable dining experience. From the moment we arrived, the warm, attentive staff made sure everything was perfect. Drinks, appetizers, mains, and desserts were all exceptional. Each dish was beautifully crafted and bursting with flavor. The cozy, intimate atmosphere made it truly special. I’ve been telling all my friends about it—it was a highlight of my trip. Definitely book a table ahead of your trip to secure a spot! One of the best meals I’ve ever had."

"We had an exceptional lunch at Eleanore yesterday. After it's recent refurbishment, with a new all day menu concept, the restaurant was full. With 16 intimate couverts, young slick front of house staff ,fabulous background jazz music, the scene was set for a great experience. June commented that her cream of Cauliflower soup was the best she'd ever had,I had the pork rillettes which was also delicious. Lamb rump and Hake were our chosen mains, both were absolutely outstanding, a side order of French fries and a lovely bottle of wine made our meal complete. We shared a portion of sticky toffee profiteroles for our dessert and as we headed outside into the sunshine on Leith,we both agreed that this was one of the best experiences we'd had ."
